Best Pampanga-Subic-Bataan Itinerary for Family with Kids [Father’s Day 2023]

Shortly after leaving the office, Daddy Ryan and I made the spontaneous decision to travel to Pampanga, particularly Clark, to explore its attractions like the Dinosaur Island. We also went to Subic Zambales and stayed their for our second night and visited Bataan to experience the wonders of Zoobic Safari.

Undoubtedly, Father’s Day 2023 became an extraordinarily happy occasion for us!

We played with Dinosaurs, bumped into an old friend, ate at a nice restaurant, had close encounter with tigers, and so much more! After this we realized Levi is really an avid Zoo fanatic! Haha! Read our Paradizoo experience here.

DAY 1

June 17, 2023

At around 5:30PM, we started to pack up and left for Pampanga! We were with Mama Malyn this time. We still didn’t have a room for the night and was still searching via Agoda and Klook while Ryan was driving.

Lot’s of love for these apps really!

Klook.com

It was Ryan’s first time to drive north and we really don’t know where to go and were just relying on Google Maps. We also stopped at Paso De Blas Valenzuela at around 7:30PM to have dinner since our Levi is getting fussy already.

9:00PM came and we continued our travel to north. Ryan is not really keen on driving at night that’s why we were only running on 60-80.

At 10:00PM, we booked PRISM HOTEL in Clark Pampanga for 3,600pesos exclusive of breakfast via Klook PH. They have swimming pool and spacious room. We’ll be creating a separate post about this!

11:00 PM – Lights off!

DAY 2

June 18, 2023

BREAKFAST AT PRISM HOTEL, CLARK

Hotel Name: Prism Hotel – We booked via KLOOK but they are very responsive on their Facebook Page

Hotel Address: 121 Clark Ave Villa Sol Subdivision, Angeles City, Pampanga
Contact Number: (045) 624 7248
Rates for 3 pax and 1 baby: 3,600pesos
Notes: Not free breakfast

Unfortunately, Levi didn’t have a good night sleep since he woke up at around 3AM and finally got back to sleep at around 5AM. This was the very first time Levi woke up in the wee hours of the morning.

I thought he’ll sleep up until 9AM but he woke up at around 7:30AM. We all took bath first and headed to the hotel restaurant to eat breakfast.

Daddy Ryan chose Corned Beef Silog, Hotdog Silog, and Bologne Silog. Breakfast price ranges from 180pesos to 250pesos.

After breakfast, we checked out already and headed to the Dinosaur Island!

AIRFORCE CITY PARK, CLARK

Along the road, we stumbled upon a park with airplanes, helicopters.. We stopped by and roamed around the park. It was hot but Levi loved it so much!

DINOSAUR ISLAND, CLARK

After 30 minutes, we went back to the car and went to Dinosaur Island. We weren’t able to book tickets in advance that’s why we paid higher than the Klook price. So always book days before your trip. Same day bookings will not give you discounted rates.

Anyway, we also had so much fun here especially Levi.

What’s surprising too was I saw my long lost friend/dormmate here! It was a really surprising moment. We both laughed hard with all the college dorm kwentos. We used to be sharing 1 cup of rice and Freska Tuna every night. Her classes ends at 9:00PM so I would patiently wait for her before I can eat dinner. Hah! Those struggling years made us what we are today. Oh! I remember we went to SM Manila and Luneta Park with only ordinary bus fare in our wallets. But since we went home late, there were no ordinary buses already. We have no choice but to ride the bus and looked for cents inside our bags. I think the Kuya just smiled at us when we said we are 3 pesos short. Huhu. We have lots of stories like this when we were in our first/second year in college. Nakakahumble balikan.

Now, she is a CPA and Attorney and has 3 lovely babies!

WOODEN TABLE LUTONG BAHAY

At around 12 noon, we are already finished touring Dinosaur Island. We opted to check restaurants outside Dinosaur Island and we drove upon Wooden Table restaurant. It’s a very big restaurant.

We ordered Grilled Porkchop, Ribs, and Fish Fillet and paid around 2,000pesos.

White eating, we decided to go to Subic, Zambales, stay the night there and visit Zoobic Safari, Bataan!

DRIVE TO SUBIC, ZAMBALES

At around 2:45PM, we started driving to Subic, Zambales We love how picturesque our way to Zambales is!

At around 5:30PM, we arrived at Subic Bay Freeport Zone. I was telling Ryan to be very careful in driving around Subic because they are very strict with the first in/out (if that’s what it’s called). However, unluckily, we were still caught.

CHECK IN AT HORIZON HOTEL SUBIC

6PM came and we checked in at Horizon Hotel Subic via their Facebook page. I personally chose this hotel because during my previous work at TravelBook Philippines, I stayed here for a business trip and had a very pleasant stay!

You can also book via Agoda for big discount!

DAY 3

Breakfast at Horizon Hotel Subic

We don’t have pictures during our breakfast but we had a very heavy one. Good thing is that our stay has free breakfast for 3 plus we can refill our coffee! Yey!

After the hearty breakfast, we went back to our room, took a bath, and ready ourselves for a long day at Zoobic Safari!

Klook.com

Zoobic Safari, Bataan

So I am really torn if Zoobic Safari is really found in Subic or Bataan. So after searching, Zoobic Safari’s address ia Ilanin Forest West, Morong, Bataan, Philippines.

Yes, it’s not in Subic, although it is really near Subic that’s why maybe they named it ZOOBIC.

Anyway, Ryan is really excited about this trip and he has big expectations about the place. We can say that Zoobic is a really big zoo. Well maintained? That I am not sure of. We feel like the place is somewhat “napabayaan”.

More kwento on our blog about Zoobic Safari!

We had a very long day! At around 3PM, we decided to drive home already. I know Daddy Ryan was really tired that day but he still managed to drive us home safely.

We indeed had a very memorable Father’s Day 2023.
