I’ve been longing to experience Villa Escudero’s breathtaking beauty ever since. However, unfortunately, even the day tour package, which used to cost less than 1,000 pesos, never quite fit into my schedule or budget back then. Haha!

TRAVEL, ARRIVAL, AND CHECK IN
Our family is from Imus, Cavite, which is approximately a 2-hour travel time to Villa Escudero. Our original plan was to wake up at 6AM, quickly prepare, and grab some coffee on the way. However, as luck would have it, our toddler decided to sleep in and woke up at 8AM instead. Sleepyhead!
Luckily, this late start wasn’t a problem since our check-in time wasn’t until 2PM. But there was something special we were eagerly anticipating in the morning: the mouthwatering lunch buffet right by the man-made falls at 11AM. Can you say yum?
One of the things I absolutely adored about our overnight stay was that all our meals were covered and served buffet-style. It’s like a food lover’s dream come true! I couldn’t help but giggle at the abundance of options.
Just around noon, we finally arrived at Villa Escudero, right on time for the much-anticipated lunch. Checking in was a breeze, although we did expect a welcome drink that unfortunately never arrived. Perhaps they just had a small oversight? It’s no biggie, really. Hehe.
Did I mention that we also did their famous carabao ride? Super fun! We were also serenated by Villa Escudero’s best singers and guitarist!
ACCOMMODATION
Picture this: wide room that can fit around 10pax (for me ah), wood and rustic style, with ‘banga’ in one of the corners, a very quaint ‘aparador’ like our Lola’s, and a wooden old-style chair, it’s a bit creepy for me, honestly. But what I loved most was the comfort room; wide and super clean, it’s somewhat newly renovated, I guess.
LUNCH BUFFET BY THE MAN-MADE FALLS
As my family and I arrived at this picturesque setting, we were immediately entranced by the soothing sounds of the cascading waterfalls, the lush greenery that surrounded us, and of course, the buffet area!
Taking our seats at the bamboo tables, we loved that we were surrounded by Villa Escudero’s helpful staff. They even reminded us of some slippery areas which we greatly appreciate since I am around 7 months pregnant when we visited Villa Escudero Resort.
I personally loved the caldereta, while Daddy Ryan loved the bihon!
EXPLORING THE GROUNDS
There is actually a cultural dance near the man-made falls but we weren’t able to go since we really took time to eat. Lol.
Anyway, we still had fun roaming around!
